Payment requests

Payment requests represent a customer's intention to make a payment, containing fixed amounts in pesos or US dollars, along with a transaction status.

Activity tab

In this tab, you can view payment requests, their amounts, statuses, and payment links for those that are pending. It is possible to access a request to see the details.

Creating a payment request

From the back office, it is possible to create a payment request. This allows the purchasing user who accesses the SimpleFi checkout via link or by scanning a static QR code to have a transaction prepared with a pre-selected amount for the transaction created from the back office.

When creating a payment request, it is possible to select a specific token to receive the payment.

  • If selected, the payment link associated with the payment request will redirect to 'step 3' of the checkout, with the selected amount and token.

  • If no token is selected, the user will be able to pay with any of the tokens enabled by the business from the payment link.

Cancelling a payment request

It is possible to cancel a request in "pending" status from the "activity" tab. This will invalidate the payment link, the specific QR codes for the payment request, and the static QR code for the checkout until a new payment request is created.

Refunds

It is possible to mark a payment request as a 'refund.' The actual refund of the money will be the responsibility of the merchant, as SimpleFi does not have access to the funds.
